Announced on April 12, FIFA, the global governing body for football (aka soccer in America), has launched a streaming service to cater to a worldwide audience that loves the game and will stay connected in the digital age.

The service, called fifa+, will be multi-language and carry original films and highlights from a vast library of matches. As time goes on, the public should expect its role as a video content supplier to grow. FIFA's global access allows it to reach into every market and down to the grassroots level of football. However, the evolution should also see football superstars make appearances because the platform does not have the barriers created by traditional media companies.
